Mueller Accu-Therm plate heat exchanger plates employ an embossed pattern that promotes high turbulence at some of the lowest fluid velocities. High turbulence results in very high heat transfer coefficients, with “U” values of 2,000 or more.
Accu-Therm plate heat exchanger’s high turbulence, uniform fluid flow, and the smooth plate surface reduce fouling and the need for frequent cleaning.
Because of the high thermal efficiency and high surface density, the Mueller Accu-Therm requires 1/5 to 1/2 of the floor space of other types of equivalent duty heat transfer equipment. You can also service and maintain the plate heat exchanger in the same area it occupies when in operation.
Plate heat exchangers are generally more economical than other types of equivalent duty heat exchangers due to the higher thermal efficiency and lower manufacturing cost of plate heat exchangers.
